Privacy Policy

No Matter What Family Tree

Effective date: July 23, 2026

No Matter What Family Tree is a recovery-family genealogy service. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

Information we collect

We may collect a member's name, clean date, sponsor relationship, phone number, email address, form submissions, approval status, and consent records. The public family tree is designed to display only limited genealogy information, such as a member name, clean date, and sponsor relationship. Phone numbers and email addresses are not intended for public display.

How we use information

We use information to maintain the family tree, verify and process member requests, contact sponsors or administrators about approvals, provide requested lists, protect the service, keep change records, and send transactional account or family-tree messages when a person has consented.

SMS and mobile information

Mobile information, text-messaging opt-in data, and SMS consent are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate the service or deliver messages, but only as needed to perform those services and subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations. Text-message originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with third parties for their own marketing.

Consent and messaging choices

Providing a phone number does not by itself enroll a person in SMS messages. SMS enrollment requires a separate affirmative opt-in. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of submitting family-tree information. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for assistance.

Information sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information when necessary to operate the service, comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate misuse, or complete an action a user requests. Recovery-family relationships and contact details should be treated as sensitive and are limited to authorized uses.

Data security and retention

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards intended to protect private information. No system is completely secure. We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the family tree, approval and audit records, legal obligations, dispute resolution, and service protection.

Your choices

You may request correction or deletion of your member information through the Update Member or Delete Member options on the website. You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP. An opt-out does not remove a member from the family tree.

Children

This service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes to this policy

We may revise this policy as the service changes. The effective date above will be updated when material revisions are published.
